Many of us may have grown accustomed to it by now, but I still get pretty stoked whenever one of New York City FC’s own are called up to represent their homeland on an international stage. For NYCFC, midfielders Ebenezer Ofori and Keaton Parks, as well as goalkeeper Sean Johnson are the latest to receive such honors.

Johnson was one of five goalkeepers selected to be in the USMNT’s provisional Gold Cup roster, which will be cut down to 23 players at midnight, May 23. Parks, however, has been invited to participate with the US’s U-23 side and will not be eligible for Gold Cup play.

Ofori has received a spot in Ghana’s provisional 29-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations, which will also be cut down to 23 men before the tournament starts on June 21.

We would like to congratulate all three men on this special accomplishment! We know they will rep NYCFC to the fullest!
