The 2020 NYCFC away kit has apparently leaked

Is this the new NYCFC kit? | Todo Sobre Camisetas

We’re drawing close to that time of year where teams all around Major League Soccer start revealing their new kits for the 2020 season. And now, we may have gotten a peak as to what several teams will be wearing this year.

Todo Sobre Camisetas — known on Twitter as @EleteTSC — have posted several alleged 2020 kits designs for a plethora of MLS teams, with New York City FC’s new kit being one of them. Here’s a look at it.

According to Todo Sombre Camisetas, this is the replica version of the kit hence why there is no jock tag.

Honestly, I don’t mind them. The design is simple, to the point, The only thing I don’t like about the kit is the Three-Stripe Adidas mark on the right shoulder. Not because I think it looks bad, but because it seems like every MLS club will have it as well making it look just a bit too “templated” for my taste.

When NYCFC’s current home kit was initially leaked last year, I was skeptical due to the minimalist design. But when the kits would officially drop a few weeks later, it looked significantly different than it did in the leak due to some added piping on both the collar and sleeves, as well as a classy mosaic pigeon jock tag that really brought the kit together.

Whether you like the new kit or not, it’s fair to say that it will grow on us eventually. Especially if we win in it!
