Montréal 0 - 1 NYCFC: Rate the Players

Head coach Nick Cushing parked the bus in the 80th minute AND IT WORKED.

Nice assist | NYCFC.com

New York City FC endured a delayed start due to lightening but went on to beat CF Montréal. Not only did NYCFC snap a 12-game winless streak with their first road victory of the year, they did it by being the first team to defeat Montréal at Stade Saputo since April 15. It was tense, but a quality goal from Matías Pellegrini was all all New York City needed to get three much-needed points.

The ratings form will remain open until midnight tomorrow, July 2; results will be published on Monday, June 3.

Three thoughts:
• Matías Pellegrini had a gorgeous goal, and an assist last week – just sayin’
• Head coach Nick Cushing parked the bus in the 80th minute AND IT WORKED
• Referee Victor Rivas had a good game imo
