New York City FC lose at home for the first time this season – and the second time ever at Citi Field – against the Philadelphia Union. Now it’s time for you to weigh in by voting in our NYCFC player ratings. Don’t hold back.
The form will remain open until midnight tomorrow, May 28. The results will be published on Monday, May 29.
Three thoughts:
• The NYCFC attack looked good, relatively speaking — at least they tried
• 2022 MLS Cup Eastern Conference Finals flashbacks with the scoreline, and how Philly won the game
• The game was decided by the defenses: NYCFC’s didn’t show up, but Philadelphia’s Andre Blake did

Just went and looked at the controversial moments.
Parks penalty shout? Elbow swung into the face, not just a push. Not called.
Thiago Martins potential red? Outside the box, should have been DOGSO and no pen, even with the “heavy touch away from goal” (it wasn’t taking him that far away from goal).
Segal penalty shout? Blake gets all boot and no ball. Not called.
Guido Gonzales Jr. had an absolute mare tonight and so did the VAR Kevin Stott. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a refereeing performance as bad as this, and unfortunately two huge calls went against us. Really too bad there’s no 0 in the ratings, because they deserve a -10.
Pro Referees. Anything but.
