The New York City FC vs New Jersey Red Bulls in Matchday 12 was as frustrating a loss as we’ve seen all season, and now it’s time for you to decide the NYCFC player ratings. Don’t hold back.
The form will remain open until 9 am on Monday, May 15, and the results will be published later that day.
Three thoughts:
• The 31-year-old Cory Burke added brought more danger to New Jersey’s attack as a late sub than 20-year-old wunderkind Talles Magno did in his full 90′
• There’s no belief in this squad
• You have to score to win

I’m reminded of the third Derby in 2021 when we dominated the game, didn’t take our chances, and lost 1-0. We didn’t lose a single game the rest of the way.
But that was then and this is now. Forget taking chances, we didn’t have many of them to begin with, and the ones we did have–which were really good chances, by the way–were killed off by Talles Magno playing like a deer in headlights. He had an utterly poor game and the whole Jenga tower came crashing down.
The goals aren’t coming from anywhere. That’s on the front office.
No Ilenic the whole game? Wingback on attack could have made a difference and Cushing didn’t even try. Not an attacking coach and it has shown repeatedly.
